Plath sought silence
the dark and silence
I have grappled with such notion myself
to be enveloped in a darkness so dark
that one hears even their blinks creak
to be in such a void that daylight fears
trespassing where mind has muted life
reality seldom offers such permanency
epiphanies only unlock doors of the mind
would one learn to navigate through light
true light does not fear silenced storms within
it demands one walks with ever present shadow
in order to balance the ebb and flow of being alive
to free oneself of the illusion of divide from the divine
I have trodden carefully where the dead rest softly
to hear wisdom echoed in ripples of time
barely audible replies sail true self back to brightness
in doing so the ego calmly dissolves
for the soul reflects and already knows
Plath sought silence
the dark and silence
truth is one now understands
trials of both darkness and light
only when both are understood
can the dawn cease to bring hesitation
or demons be vanquished by the moon
ever waxing detachment
with each blink a subtle creak
the wheel continues to turn
